25 Books I Hope to Read in 2025

I know two blog posts in two days is pretty impressive, but remember, I'm on Christmas break. Throughout the year, my blog posts will be more sporadic, but I hope helpful and a place where we can have dialogue as readers. I'm working on adding a subscription function. I'm operating through Blogger and they got rid of their built-in subscription gadget. The first thing to know about my reading journey in 2025 is that I am on a strict book buying ban until I read priority books from my physical and Kindle shelves. Between the two I have 86 books I own that I want to read soon. But, that's not all!

In 2025 I will also be re-reading books that have stuck with me since childhood, middle school, high school, and my young adult years. Those stack up to 46 books. I think it's doable, especially since the childhood and middle school books are quick reads.

That is a grand total of 132 books. Now, I never want reading to lose it's fun and I don't want to stress about reading all of the priority books I own. Therefore, I'm once again, setting my goal at 52 books in a year (one book per week). Though, I will be delighted if my reading journey ventures beyond that.

My childhood re-reads will be a series, so I won't share those titles at this time, you'll have to wait and look forward to the journey! I hope it sparks memories if you grew up reading at the same time I did or inspires you to go back to the books that got you hooked on reading.

Out of my 86 book long TBR pile, here are the top 25 that I'm looking forward to! This is a fun prompt that has appeared online and though I could go on and on about all I'm excited to read, I decided 25 is probably a good number to stick to. One thing to know about me, I will always read what I am in the mood for, evoking freedom and joy in words. Therefore, consider this "hopeful list" a rough draft.

I will be posting monthly reads in the coming year. Let me know if you've read them too, I'm excited and happy to discuss!
